La GRANDE, Ore. - Fresh off an upset victory over No. 8 Corban University on Friday, the Eastern Oregon University softball team kept their momentum going on Saturday as they swept a home double-header from Northwest Christian, 6-1 and 9-4.
After getting just three hits in the first game, NCU bounced back with a ten-hit effort in game two. Sophomore
Addy Hoskins (pictured) hit 3-for-3 in the night cap and also collected a hit in the opener for a four-hit day. Torie O'Keefee and Randy Kostner each had two hits in the second game with Kostner contributing a triple and two RBI.
Sarah Lawhorn went the distance in game one, allowing four earned runs in six innings while striking out one batter.
Jordan Bennett took the loss in game two, giving up seven earned in 4.2 innings. She struck out two batters.
Parker Bonife got just her second action of the season in the circle, allowing just two hits over the final 1 and 1/3 innings.
NCU will return to the field on Tuesday when they travel to Salem to take on Corban University.
