Head Coach
Corey Anderson said, “Trevor hit a huge shot for us. After they took the lead we had already discussed that we would come down and be patient and just run our offense. While we were working for a layup, I suppose the step-through three by Parker did the job. It was a great shot and a great moment for Trevor and our team.”
Parker finished with a team-high 15 points, hitting 5-for-9 from three-point range. Buhler added 13 points, eight rebounds and six assists for the Beacons and
Travis Pacos, a Northern California product, came off the bench to score eleven points as he went 3-for-6 from beyond the arc.
Simpson (0-4) was led by Bryan Castillo, scoring a game-high 16 points along with five steals and four assists. Travis Derochowski added 13 points and Smith finished with eleven points and seven assists.
Northwest Christian (1-1) will be back in action on Friday as they begin play in the Bill Holtz Warrior Classic against Cal State Maritime at 3:00 pm. They will face host William Jessup on Saturday at 7:00 pm.
