Michelle (Fletcher) Tyler joined the cross country coaching staff in 2018.
Tyler was a four-year member of the NCU cross country and track teams and put together one of the most impressive resumes that NCU has ever seen. A five-time All-Cascade Collegiate Conference selection, she was also a three-time All-American. Coach Tyler earned two All-America nods in the Steeplechase and was a cross country All-American in 2015 as she helped guide NCU to an NAIA National Championship, the first in school history.
Coach Tyler was also one of the strongest academic student-athletes in Beacons history. Graduating with a 4.0 GPA, she was a six-time Academic All-CCC selection, a four-time NAIA National Scholar-Athlete, and a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-America, including First-Team honors in 2017.
In 2017, Tyler also became the first student-athlete in NCU history to earn the President's Scholastic Award, presented to the undergraduate with the highest GPA.
Tyler, who graduated from NCU in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in biology, also works in the NCU Admissions Office. She is married to another former NCU student-athlete, Hunter Tyler.
