Michael Gonzales joined the Cross Country coaching staff in 2013 as a graduate assistant, after a successful three-year career as a student-athlete with the Beacons. 

Gonzales was a cross country runner for the Beacons while also tackling middle-distance events on the track. He is NCU's school record holder in the 400m run and boasts five of the top-ten times in school history in the event.

Coach Gonzales graduated from NCU in 2013 with a bachelors degree in exercise science.
