Coach Callaway began as an assistant coach with the NCU men's and women's track in field team since 2014. He has over 30 years of coaching experience in the Eugene/Springfield area.  Coach Callaway was also an assistant coach with the NCU women's basketball program from 2008-2013. 

Callaway is currently an assistant coach for track & field at Marist High and was previously coaching at Sheldon High. Between the two schools he has coached seven state hurdles champions. Callaway was also the head track & field coach at Lane Community College from 1990-1992, earning NWAAC Southern Conference Coach of the Year honors in 1990. 

Callaway ran track for two seasons at Lane Community College and went on to graduate from the University of Oregon in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography. 

Callaway works as a substitute teacher and helps to run University of Oregon track meets through the Oregon Track Club.Â
