Jason Bell joined the Bushnell coaching staff in 2022 as the top assistant with the men's and women's cross country programs and the distance assistant with Track & Field.Â
Bell, a member of the inaugural varsity men's cross country team in 2006, was a formidable racer during his three years as a student-athlete with the Beacons. He holds the Bushnell men's track & field school record in the Marathon, which he set in 2008 at the Eugene Marathon (3:07.42). It is the oldest record on the books.Â
Bell graduated from then Northwest Christian University in 2016 with a bachelors degree in interdisciplinary studies with a focus in communication, criminal justice, and psychology. He has spent time in the Army National Guard and was a member of the Honolulu Police Department for seven years.Â
Bell and his wife Riley, also a Bushnell University cross country and track alumna, live in Springfield.Â
