One of Bushnell women's basketball's all-time greats, Libby Mathis joined the coaching staff prior to the 2025-2026 season as an assistant coach.
Mathis played five seasons with the Beacons, a career that included a pair of First-Team All-Cascade Collegiate Conference honors. She finished her career ranked third all-time in scoring (1330 points) and as the Bushnell career record holder for field-goal percentage (.520), offensive rebounds (355), defensive rebounds (631), total rebounds (986), blocked shots (172) and double-doubles (29). She won the Bushnell Legacy Award in 2025 and was the Female Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2024.
Mathis is a double graduate from Bushnell, earning her Bachelors of Arts degree in 2024 and her MBA in 2025.
