Kaitlin Lewis joined the Beacon coaching staff prior to the 2019-2020 season and quickly made her mark helping to guide Bushnell to their first ever Cascade Conference regular season and tournament championships.Â
Coach Lew's strength is her amazing ability to connect with players, a role model who the players can talk to as someone who has been in their shoes. Her focus comes on the defensive end of the floor, concentrating on in-game defensive matchups, along with oversight of the strength and conditioning program for the team.  Â
Lewis was decorated player coming out of Seaside High and stayed close to home to play for Coach Meadors at Lower Columbia College despite several scholarship offers at high level programs. She graduated from LCCC with her AA degree however knee injuries halted her basketball career.

Following Lower Columbia, Coach Lewis began coaching at the club level with the Northwest Stars. She coached multiple teams at the 5th-8th grade level. During the same period she trained and worked with many of the top players in the Portland-Metropolitan area.
