Joe Beal joined the women's basketball coaching staff in 2014, making his second stint as an assistant coach at Northwest Christian University.
Previously Beal worked as an assistant with the men's program during the 2006-2007 season, helping guide the Beacons to a second-place finish at the USCAA National Championship Tournament.
Prior to his return to NCU, Beal spent the 2012-2013 season on the coaching staff for the New Hope Christian College men's team.
Beal was a four-year starter for the Beacons as a student-athlete from 2002-2006. During that time he guided NCC to two USCAA tournament appearances, earning a second-place and third-place finish. He was a team captain during his senior season, averaging 8.6 points per game.
Coach Beal graduated from NCU in 2007 with a Bachelors degree. He is currently an Associate Pastor at Willamette Christian Center. He lives in Eugene with his wife Bridget and their children Sonya and Stella.
