Tim Hood is the lone coach in the history of the program, since it’s inception in 1999, giving him 13 years and over 450 games to his credit
In that time, Hood has developed a successful program, earning a pair of trips to the USCAA National tournament, taking second place in both 2002 and 2005. He has coached five all-americans, six All-Cascade Collegiate Conference selections and 16 Academic All-CCC honorees. Five of his players have earned Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete recognition and in 2009 the women's softball team was listed as the top academic program in the nation for team GPA.
Coach Hood’s coaching career has included a stint as the head coach for South Eugene HS in 1994 and 1995, where his teams defeated city rivals Churchill, Thurston, Sheldon and North Eugene for the first time in school history. He has also coached travel ball teams, including the Black Magic 14U team and the South Eugene Storm.
Hood has also worked as the Manager for the Morse Event Center, since it’s opening in the fall of 2003. He graduated from NCC in 1999 with a B.A. in Education. He has been married to his wife, Sheila for over 20 years. They have four children.
