Coach Connie Gilhuber

Connie Gilhuber

  • Title
    Pitching Coach
Connie Gilhuber joined the Bushnell softball coaching staff in 2018 as the pitching coach.

Gilhuber specializes in figuring out individual goals and personalizing workouts for each pitcher, breaking down mechanics to the smallest degree to help them make small adjustments with big impact. In her first season, she orchestrated a pitching staff that dropped it's ERA by over a point and a half from the previous year. She helped junior Emma Jegtvig cut her ERA in half as she was named First-Team All-CCC and produced on of the best individual seasons for a Bushnell pitcher in over a decade.

A preeminent private pitching instructor in the Eugene/Springfield area for the better part of the past two decades, Coach Gihuber also serves as the head coach for the Eugene Lightning ASA team and is an assistant coach at Sheldon High.

Gilhuber played collegiately at the University of Oregon from 1999-2002. She is ranked third All-time for innings pitched and appearances and is fifth all-time for strikeouts with 445. She ranks in the top-ten all-time in 11 different categories for the Ducks.

Coach Gilhuber graduated from Oregon in 2002 with a bachelors degree in English. She is married and lives in Eugene. Her family attends Willakenzie Community Church.
