2014-2015: CROSS COUNTRY - As a junior, ran in five races...posted a season-best 27:24 at the NCU-OIT Dual meet, taking ninth place...ran in 49th place at the CCC Championship. TRACK - Ran 5K and 10K races for NCU...posted a season-best 16:17.79 in the 5000m at the Lewis & Clark Spring Break Open...hit a 33:29.33 in the 10000m at the Linfield Erik Anderson Memorial Icebreaker.
2013-2014: CROSS COUNTRY - Ran in six events for NCU during sophomore season...ran a season-best 25:49 at the Willamette Invitational...took 47th place at the CCC Championship. TRACK - Competed in 5000m and 10000m races for NCU...poasted a season-best 16:01.68 in the 5k at the Lane Preview...posted a season-best 32:58.25 in the 10k at the John Knight Twilight.
2012-2013: CROSS COUNTRY - Ran in all six events for the Beacons as a freshman...led the team at the CCC Championship, taking 20th place...set a personal record of 25:36 at the Warner Pacific Open, the sixth-fastest time in school history...won the NCU Cross Country Coaches Award. TRACK - Ran exclusively in the 10,000m as a freshman...qualified for CCC with a personal best 32:13.73 at the Linfield Icebreaker on March 2nd.
High School Experience: Ran four years of cross country and track at Woodcreek High for coach McKillop...CROSS COUNTRY - named Rookie of the Year as a freshman...was a three-time All-Sierra Foothill League selection...earned a trio of All-Section selections...took second in conference and 18th in state as a senior...TRACK - earned All-League honors.
Personal: Born on March 3, 1994 in Roseville, Calif...son of Stephanie and Robert Tyler...enjoys kayaking, hiking, and long boarding...claims to be a great dancer...aspires to become a museum curator...majoring in history.
