Coach Will Hander began his second stint with the Bushnell men's soccer program in 2021. He was originally named the fourth head coach in the history of the program in December 2018 and has spent two full seasons leading the Beacon program.Â

Hander's extensive coaching background includes stints with Linfield College and a number of high profile club programs throughout the state. He has spent time as the Technical Advisor with TFA Willamette Futbol Club and was the head coach for their U23 team.

He was an assistant coach for the women's program at Corban University from 2016-2017, during which time the team went 22-12-2 after going just 7-11-1 the previous season. His recruiting efforts helped to land the 2016 Cascade Collegiate Conference Newcomer of the Year along with six All-CCC performers.

Hander retains a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) National Diploma as well as an NSCAA Advance National Diploma and a Level 1 Goalkeeping Diploma.

During his playing days he competed at Cornell College and Pacific University, earning All-Conference honors on three separate occasions. He went on to play for the USL Cascade Surge.

Hander earned a BA in Business Management from Pacific and went on to complete significant studies in a pair of graduate programs; one from Cleveland State University in Sports Management, one in Sports Medicine, Fitness, and Health from the United States Sports Academy. Hander spent four years at Snap Fitness putting his education to good use as he went from being a club manager and personal trainer to the area GM in under a year.
Hander and his wife Maura live in Philomath with their children, Rian, Isaac, Joel, and Simon.Â
