Rea has worked as a head and assistant coach with Bushnell soccer teams in various stints over the past 17 years and rejoins the men's soccer coaching staff in 2023.
He has been associated with the Beacons since 2006 when he began coaching with the women's soccer program in it's inaugural season. Rea was an integral part of the women's soccer coaching staff for four years. He was an assistant coach for three seasons before taking over as the head coach for the 2009 campaign.
After leaving the Beacons, Rea moved to Arizona where he began pursuing a master's degree in coaching and athletic administration from Concordia University-Irvine.
In addition to his coaching with the Beacons, Rea has been the Head Coach for the boys varsity soccer team at Dysart High. In his first season he guided the Demons to a 14-2-1 record, a Section Championship and a Final-Four appearance in the state tournament. For his efforts, he was named the Arizona Division IV State Coach of the Year.
Coach Rea joined the Bushnell athletic staff in 2022 as the athletic events coordinator where he oversees all aspects of home games from setup and tear down to staffing.
