Benny Flores became the sixth coach in Bushnell women's soccer history in 2019, returning to his roots after spending four seasons leading the Beacon men's soccer program.Â
While at the helm of the men's team, Flores turned the program around from a team that went 4-12-2 the year before he arrived to a program that experienced their first ever .500 season in 2016, going 8-8-2 and barely missing the Cascade Collegiate Conference tournament. Then, in 2017, the team again went 8-8-2, including a 7-4-2 mark in the CCC. The team took fourth-place in conference and qualified for the post season for the first time in history.Â
No stranger to the Cascade Collegiate Conference, Flores came to Bushnell from Corban University where he spent eleven seasons with their women’s soccer team including the final four years as the Associate Head Coach. During his time with the Warriors the team earned eight playoff appearances and played in six CCC championship games.
Â
Flores, who has also coached with the Silver Falls Soccer Club, was a three-year standout player at Corban, then Western Baptist College. He was a three-time MVP and is still ranked third all-time in scoring for the Warriors.
He graduated from WBC in 1994 with a degree in Youth Ministries. Before coming to Bushnell, Flores also worked full time at the Hillcrest Youth Correctional Facility as a Group Life Coordinator.Â

Flores currently lives in Eugene with his children Benny Jr., Julia, and Izabela.
