Kara McManus joined the Bushnell Beach Volleyball coaching staff prior to the 2023 season.
McManus has coached indoor and beach volleyball teams in the club circuit for many years, including stints with the Hi-Intensity Club in Honolulu, Hawaii.

She has extensive beach playing experience in Los Angeles, South Carolina, Portland, Honolulu and Eugene.
McManus's career is in higher education as both faculty and administrator at Clemson University, Chaminade University of Honolulu, and the University of Portland. She earned her bachelor of arts in communication studies from the University of Oregon in 2004 and went on to receive a master of arts in English Literature from Clemson University in 2008, and an MEd in Higher Education Administration from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2012.
McManus currently enjoys being a stay-at-home mom and lives in Eugene.
