Playing in his first collegiate match, Reineke dropped the opener before taking games two and three. The freshman fell behind in the decider, trailing by 11 points to open the fourth quarter before closing the gap for his first collegiate victory.

Fortnite is played over a nine-week regular season with four matches every Tuesday (ZB) and Thursday (Builds) at 5:00 p.m. Each division was separated into three groups with two groups from each division playing each week, meaning teams play a total of six weeks during the regular season. Both Bushnell teams were placed in Group 1 of their corresponding competition day, meaning both duos will play in weeks 1,2,4,5,7 and 8.

Points are earned based on placement and eliminations. At the end of the regular season, the top 50 teams with the most points over the nine weeks will move to Finals.
