REDDING, Calif. – Sophomore Kylee Smith led the Beacons with a seventh-place finish as the Bushnell golf team competed in the Simpson University Invitational at Riverview Golf Club.  
 
Smith shot a 79-87—166 as she fought off an Oregon Tech player by one stroke to secure seventh. Her efforts led the Beacons who finished in fourth-place, shooting a 338-344—682 to land eight strokes behind Southern Oregon.
 
Morgan Schlesinger found herself right in the middle of the pack with a two-round total of 85-85—170, taking 11th place. She was followed by Hailey Smith in 13th (86-86—172) while Jaylee Hix (89-86—175) and Jada Richwine (88-87—175) tied for 18th.
 
UP NEXT: Bushnell will be off until April 13-14, when they travel to Portland to compete in the Warner Pacific Invitational.
