EUGENE, Ore. – Bushnell Athletic Director Corey Anderson has been voted in as an at-large representative to the NAIA's National Administrative Council (NAC), where he will serve a three-year term.
Â
The NAC is the primary governing body of the NAIA, responsible for managing administrative policies that impact national championship competition. It consists of 40 members including athletic directors, commissioners, athletic trainers, and athletic communicators from across the country. Anderson will serve as an at-large representative in his second term of service with the council.
Â
Anderson has served at Bushnell for over 20 years. He has seen substantial growth to the program, which has grown from four teams to 17 and continues to see record enrollment among student athletes with over 320 on campus this year.
Â
Anderson's leadership has also included developing strong community partnerships with organizations including Willamalane, Springfield School District, Pine Ridge Golf Course, Kidsports, Special Olympics, and Grace Community fellowship. These partnerships have influenced many new facility developments in recent years including the Hamlin Sports Complex (Home of Bushnell Baseball), the Bushnell Beach Volleyball Courts at Grace, and the Golf Player Development facility at Pine Ridge.Â
Â
As the longest tenured Athletic Director in the Cascade Collegiate Conference, Anderson holds numerous leadership roles. Along with his new leadership role with the NAC, he serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the NAIA Athletic Directors Association and serves on the Membership Committee, which assists with on-boarding for new campus athletic directors.Â
Â
"This is a great opportunity for me professionally as well as for our university to be selected as an NAC rep for the second time," said Anderson. "It is always great to be working with other AD's within the interworking of the NAIA in order to continue to move our great product forward."
Â
As a member of the NAC, Anderson will work with the Polls, Awards, and Statistics Committee.
