Bushnell Esports: Weekly Recap

EUGENE, Ore.  –  Bushnell Esports kicked off the fall season with matches in Rocket League, FC 26, Fortnite, College Football 26 and Madden NFL 26.
 
ROCKET LEAGUE
Collegiate West Coast Series: 2-4
Collegiate Rocket League Qualifier: 1-2
 
Bushnell Rocket League opened the fall season over the weekend, competing in two tournaments. Isaac Wagner, Brec Feehan and Anthony Johnson make up the starting lineup for the fall season.  
 
The Beacons came in as the 21-seed before placing 16th in the CWCS Tournament on Saturday. They had an early exit in the CRL Qualifier on Sunday morning.  
 
Up next, the second CWCS Qualifier on October 11-12 at 5:00 p.m.
 
FC 26
Match 1: Oakland City 2, Bushnell 0 (10-0, 9-2)
 
Andrew Bennett ran into a powerhouse for his first match of the season, falling to Oakland City University.
 
FC 26 is played every Monday at 5:00 p.m.
 
FORTNITE
Week 1: LEADERBOARD
 
Fortnite will compete in a seven-week zero build duos regular season, playing three matches every Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. Points are earned based on placement and eliminations. At the end of the regular season, the top 25 teams with the most points over the seven weeks will move to Finals. The following teams in places 26th-75th will move into the Semi-Finals where the top 25 will move to the Finals.
 
The duos competing for the Beacons are Nathan Farris/Nick McGowen (Gold), Grayson Bolanos/Emma Reposa (Blue) and Trent Parks/Kyle Solomons (White).
 
All three teams hold a qualifying position after the first week : Blue (88 points, 46th), Gold (82 points, 50th), White (74 points, 54th).
 
COLLEGE FOOTBALL 26
Match 1: Caden Hoerauf 2, Mason Monrroy 0 (54-53, 33-30)
 
For the first time in school history, Bushnell was assigned an official match against itself as Hoerauf took on teammate Monrroy for the first game of the regular season. Hoerauf came away with the victory, edging Monrroy in a pair of close results. 
 
College Football is played every Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.
 
MADDEN NFL 26
Match 1: Muskingum 2, Bushnell 0
Hoerauf battled a tough opening round opponent, falling to Muskingum University, 2-0.
 
Madden is played every Thursday at 5:00 p.m.
