EUGENE, Ore. – Bushnell University athletics announces the nominees for the 2024 Champions of Character Award.
Â
One male and one female student-athlete will be chosen, and will be honored in one week on Wednesday, April 24 at the "Iggy Awards", Bushnell's annual athletics award ceremony. Each head coach submits one nominee from his or her team and the award is selected by a panel of athletic department administration.
Â
The Bushnell philosophy of Christ-Centered Athletics has long been showcased through the incredible work done by student-athletes outside of the field of play, both in the classroom and as champions of character.
Â
The Champion of Character award each year goes to honor someone who epitomizes the characteristics of the NAIA Champion of Character model, which are respect, integrity, responsibility, servant leadership and sportsmanship.
