Bushnell Esports Concludes Season

EUGENE, Ore. – Bushnell Esports wrapped up competition in the National Association of Collegiate Esports Varsity Plus Division this week, falling to Blinn College in Overwatch 2 and the University of Wisconsin – Stout in Valorant.

Both teams concluded their spring season in the Round of 4.

OVERWATCH 2
The Overwatch regular season consisted of six rounds of conference play. All matches were a best-of-five games. At the end of the Regular Season, six Rosters from each Division that had the best overall Records (W-L) moved on to the Playoffs.

Round of 6: Bushnell 3, Colorado College 0
Round of 4: Blinn College 3, Bushnell 0

Bushnell (3-5) entered the postseason as the four seed, having the advantage in a three-way tiebreaker with Colorado College and George Fox. As the four seed, the Beacons took on fifth-seeded Colorado College in the opening round of the postseason, sweeping the Tigers for the second straight match.

The Beacons fell to top seeded Blinn College in the semifinal round to conclude the year. Bushnell finished in the Round of 4 in the fall and spring.   

Overwatch 2 concludes the 2022-23 season with a 10-7 overall record.

VALORANT
The Valorant regular season consisted of six rounds of conference play. All matches were a best-of-three games. At the end of the Regular Season, six Rosters from each Division that had the best overall Records (W-L) moved on to the Playoffs.

Round of 4: Wisconsin-Stout 2, Bushnell 0 (7-13, 3-13)
Following a win over Viterbo University in their last time out, Bushnell (3-5) faced the top seed in the West-Central Conference, the University of Wisconsin – Stout on Wednesday evening. The Beacons fell on Ascent and Lotus to end their season in the semifinal stage.

Valorant concludes the 2022-23 season with a 9-7 overall record.
