EUGENE, Ore. – Less than a month a way from the start of the 2022-2023, Bushnell announces the game schedules for fall sports including volleyball, soccer, cross country, and golf.
Â
For most fall teams, 2022 brings the return of the highly anticipated Alumni Games. August 13 will act as "Alumni Saturday" with volleyball (12:00 pm), women's soccer (3:00 pm) and men's soccer (5:00 pm) all competing. The Cross Country team will once again host their Alumni Challenge on August 20 at Dorris Ranch in Springfield, beginning at 9:00 am.
Â
VOLLEYBALL
Â
Looking for their third consecutive trip to the NAIA post-season, the Bushnell volleyball team will get chances to prove themselves early and often during a 2022 campaign that will include no fewer than nine matches against teams that ended last season in the NAIA Top-25.
Â
An absolute trial-by-fire will open in the campaign as the Beacons start the season at the Big Sky Challenge on August 19-20. There, they will open against No. 5 University of Providence (Montana) before taking on No. 14 Montana Tech, who ended Bushnell's season in the NAIA Opening Round last year. It won't get any easier on day two as they will face off against No. 3 University of Jamestown (North Dakota), who went 35-1 last season and were undefeated until the national semifinal when they fell to eventual champion Missouri Baptist. The last game will be against another perennial power from the Midwest in Cornerstone University (Michigan).
Â
The William Jessup tournament will take place the following week as the Beacons face off against four solid California-based schools in Menlo, UC Merced, William Jessup, and Simpson.
Â
Then the Beacons will take to the always intimidating Cascade Conference, where they will face off with No. 11 Corban, No. 16 Eastern Oregon, and No. 21 Oregon Tech among their biggest foes. The team opens CCC play with their first home game of the year on September 2 against The College of Idaho. Other big dates for the calendar include both meetings with defending CCC champion Corban, at home on September 7 and in Salem on October 12.
Â
MEN'S SOCCER
Â
The Beacons will hit the road for three straight preseason games to start the season, including their 2022 opener at Pacific Union on August 18. They Beacons will have two "home-away-from-Home Games" as they will play at Civic Park in Eugene on August 26 against Park University Gilbert (Arizona) and September 1 against George Fox as part of a double-header with the women's team.
Â
The Cascade Conference opener will be the first game back at Les Schwab Sports Park in Springfield as the Beacons take on Walla Walla University on September 16.
Â
Another big road test during CCC circuit action will see the Beacons take on defending Co-CCC Champion Warner Pacific on the road on September 30th. The regular season later concludes with back-to-back home games against the other Co-Champion, No. 24 Oregon Tech, on October 22 and powerful Corban University on October 29.
Â
The Beacons are once again set to host the CCC Championship Tournament from November 7-11 and will look to compete in the event for the first time since 2017.
Â
WOMEN'S SOCCER
Â
Bushnell will get very comfortable at home this fall as six of their seven non-conference dates will be played at either the Les Schwab Sports Park in Springfield, or Civic Park in Eugene. The schedule starts on August 19 as the Beacons play host to Simpson University at Les Schwab and continues through September 11 when they face off against Pacific University at Civic.
Â
The CCC slate also opens at home as the Beacons take on Carroll College on September 17. The road through the Cascade Conference will feature plenty of potential hazards including The College of Idaho at home on September 23, Southern Oregon at home on October 21, and defending CCC Champion and No. 4 ranked Oregon Tech on October 22.

Â
Southern Oregon is the host for the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championship this year and will host the preview meet on September 9 before the CCC Championships on November 4. The NAIA National tournament this year will take place on November 18 at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Florida.
Â
