TACOMA, Wash. –
Cassidy Krauss had a tournament for the record books at the Pacific Lutheran Invitational this weekend, finishing 76-79—155 to tie for fifth place at the Lake Spanaway Golf Course.
The senior's two-round total of 155 is tied for third best in Bushnell women's golf history. Her 76 on the first day is tied for the fifth-best single round in school history. The Beacons dropped one spot in the final standings to take fifth (337-354—691) at the tournament, just one stroke behind Southwestern Oregon CC.

Larry Watts said, "The ladies competed really hard today. It was a good experience to be in the mix. Even though the ladies fell back one place, they felt good about themselves and the way they competed."
Analise Aubin has another consistent showing for the Beacons, posting an 82-81—163 in her second collegiate tournament for 13
th place.
Fernanda Gardea finished in a tie for 26
th (84-92—176) and
Melody Garcia placed 40
th (95-102—197).
Sarah Lawrence of Bellevue College earned individual medalist honors, shooting a 74-73—147. The final standings were: Whitman (638), Whitworth (641), Pacific Lutheran (665), Southwestern Oregon CC (690), Bushnell (691), Lewis & Clark (723), Linfield (730), Puget Sound (754), Pacific (859). Bellevue did not have a team score as there were only three players who competed.
The Beacons will travel to Lewiston, Idaho next week to compete at the Lewis-Clark State Invitational on September 27-28.
