CALDWELL, Idaho – The Bushnell women's golf team closed out the 2020-2021 season on Tuesday at the CCC Championships, hosted by The College of Idaho at TimberStone Golf Course.
Bushnell took fifth place, shooting consistently for a 342-343—685 final. The Beacons finished behind host College of Idaho for the first time this season as the Yotes went 346-330—676 for the nine-shot advantage.
Oregon Tech won the tournament, sweeping both the CCC regular season and tournament championships and earning a bid to the NAIA national championship. Lewis-Clark State, led by Medalist Lauren Hamm (145) took second place, 13 strokes behind the Owls. Corban was third (662) followed by CI and Bushnell.
The Beacons were led by senior
Kelsie Hellwege, claiming a share of 11th place as she shot 81-82—163.
Cassidy Krauss followed in 16th (86-82—168).
Fernanda Gardea closed out the tournament on Tuesday with a career-best round of 84. She finished 16th, scoring 87-84—171.
Carli Brousseau rounded out the Bushnell foresome in 22nd (88-95—183).
Despite the fifth-place finish this week, the Beacons hold on to Fourth Place in the CCC regular-season standings for the 2020-2021 season.
