CRESWELL, Ore. – The Bushnell women's golf team took fourth on Tuesday as they hosted the Bushnell Spring Invitational at Emerald Valley Golf Course.

The third of four official Cascade Collegiate Conference tournaments on the season, the Beacons did themselves four shots better in the second round, finishing with a score of 359-355—714. Bushnell easily out-paced fifth-place College of Idaho (732) and were 28 strokes behind third-place Corban (686). The Oregon Tech Owls won the event with a combined score of 643, topping Lewis-Clark State (650) by seven shots.

The Beacons were led on Tuesday by
Cassidy Krauss and
Kelsie Hellwege who both shot 86. Hellwege finished 16th in the tournament at 175, followed by Krauss in 17th with a score of 176.

Day-one leader
Carli Brousseau ended up close behind in 19th, shooting an 88-89—177 and Fern Gardea rounded out the Bushnell scoring in 23rd (92-94—186).

As the final home tournament of the season, Bushnell had a small ceremony after Tuesday's round to honor senior
Kelsie Hellwege along with men's seniors Jon Holzgang and Ethan Pentony.

The Beacons are set to close out the 2020-2021 season in two weeks, traveling to compete in the CCC Championships in Caldwell, Idaho, hosted by The College of Idaho.
