ASHLAND, Ore. – Southern Oregon scored in the third minute and the Raiders claimed a 3-0 victory over Bushnell University on Monday in Cascade Collegiate Conference action.

Head Coach
Erik Carrazco said, "This was a tough game, but we definitely saw some good things from our depth. We are down a few due to injuries and are tinkering and trying players in different places and I thought it gave us a different look. We definitely were able to possess the ball a little more today and get our offensive engine going, but not enough to capitalize on our opportunities."
Â
In a game that was more even than SOU's 2-0 win on Sunday, the Raiders (2-0, 2-0 CCC) out-shot the Beacons 24-6. Both starting keepers made four saves as freshman
Zach Cisneros had his first collegiate start between the pipes for Bushnell.
Â
"I am proud of Zach for stepping in for the start," said Carrazco. "He did a good job commanding and helping us out in the back."
Â
The Raiders found a 2-on-1 opportunity and at the 2:26 mark, Sam Walker found the back of the net off a feed from Alan Gaytan. Izaiha Bruce gave SOU a 2-0 lead in the 29th minute and Gaytan scored in the 54th minute for the final tally. Â
Â
Carrazco added, "The only thing we can do is continue to build. We have a short week but plenty of positives to build off of. If we can get back some of the guys we're missing, we will be in great shape."
Â
Bushnell (0-6, 0-4) will head south again next week, traveling to Klamath Falls on Sunday and Monday to take on Oregon Tech (1-3, 1-3). Both games are set for 2:30 pm kickoffs.
