EUGENE, Ore. – The Northwest University men's soccer team scored five first-half goals on Saturday and held on to a 5-0 victory over Bushnell University in Cascade Collegiate Conference action.
Â
The Beacons (1-10, 1-7 CCC) showed plenty of heart as they kept the Eagles off the scoreboard after the early barrage, keeping them scoreless for the final 50 minutes of the game. NU held a 26-13 advantage in shots but just an 11-8 margin in the second half and the visitors didn't take a single shot-on-goal over the final 45 minutes.

Head Coach
Will Hander said, "It was a good game and I am proud of the way our guys kept playing and battling. Our second half was much better than our first and gives us something to build off of as we get back to work and get ready for next weekend."
Â
Northwest (7-4-2, 3-3-2) got on the board with the eventual game-winner in the 11th minute as Kyle Han scored off a rebound from a saved shot from Seito Gao. Han added his second goal in the 29th minute and in the next 11-minute stretch CCC leading scorer Elliot Misic completed a hat-trick, scoring three straight.
