                     EAGLE POINT, Ore. - 
Kelsie Hellwege tied for fifth place and was second among CCC golfers as the Beacons launched the spring portion of their season over the weekend at the Oregon Tech Spring Invitational. 
Hellwege shot an 86-76--162, finishing 17 shots behind Sukriti Harjai from the University of Victoria. No. 23 U Vic claimed a six-shot victory over No. 7 Oregon Tech while the Beacons finished tied for fourth place with Corban University. 
Also golfing for the Beacons and taking 23rd place was 
Fernanda Gardea. 
Carli Brousseau followed in 25th, 
Cassidy Krauss took 27th and 
Stella Reaka claimed 31st. 
The Beacons will return to action next weekend at the Willamette Valley Cup, taking place at Creekside Golf Course in Salem, site of the upcoming CCC Championships.
