EUGENE, Ore.  – Taking a four-point lead into the second half, the Northwest Christian University women's basketball team did not hit a field goal in the third quarter as Warner Pacific pulled away for a 59-47 victory.

The Knights (13-9, 9-6 CCC) shot 7-for-11 from the field in the third quarter while the Beacons went 0-for-16, using three free-throws to avoid going without a point. WPU finished the night shooting 40% and overcame a 4-for-22 night from three-point range as they forced 30 NCU turnovers with 19 steals.

The Beacons (9-16, 6-10) were led by
Kaylynn Bush, scoring nine points.
Shanay Dotson,
Hannah Eddens, and
Morgan McKinney added six points each with McKinney leading all players with six assists.

Warner Pacific was led by Deepika Kapil, scoring 18 points, seven rebounds, and four steals. Gabriella Bruno came off the bench to score 17 as the Knight reserves out-scored the NCU bench, 30-15. Bailey Allen added nine points along with five steals and three assists.

Northwest Christian will be back in action on Saturday as they travel to face Multnomah University at 5:30 pm.
