Cheney, Wash. - The Northwest Christian University women's basketball team lost 81-62 in an exhibition game to Eastern Washington University on Sunday. After leading 31-30 going into halftime, the Beacons were outscored 51-31 to give the Eagles the home victory.
Sarah Reinecker led the Beacons (4-2, 1-0 CCC) with a team-high 16 points and three rebounds while
Aspen Slifka and
Shanay Dotson each added 11 points. The Beacons second unit outscored EWU 26-12 in the loss.
Bella Cravens led the Eagles (0-5) with 16 points and a game-high 15 rebounds while Jenna Dick added 17 points. Jessica McDowell-White added a double-double with 13 points and 12 assists. EWU outrebounded the Beacons 42-34 in the win.
The Beacons will next play at Saint Martin's University in an exhibition on Saturday, December 14, at 5:15pm.
