INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. – Behind a dominating victory for Menlo College, the Northwest Christian University women's golf team easily surpassed the rest of the field, taking second-place at the Sierra Nevada Invitational on Tuesday.

The Beacons scored 721 points in the two-round event, falling to the Oaks by 73 shots. Menlo swept the top-five individual finishes, led by Julika Grasspietsch with a score of 159.

Kelsie Hellwege led the Beacons in sixth-place, firing an 81-88—169 while
Cassidy Krauss was close behind in eighth (90-82—172). Also claiming a top-ten slot was
Fernanda Gardea (pictured), shooting a 186.

Also golfing for the Beacons were
Stella Reaka in 11th (194) and Carlie Brousseau in 13th (202).

NCU will be off for two weeks before closing the fall season at home, hosting the NCU Fall Invitational on October 26-27 at Emerald Valley Golf Course in Creswell.
