Beacons Return to Team Scoring

OREGON CITY, Ore.  – For the first time since the 2014 CCC Championships, the Northwest Christian University women's golf program posted a team score, taking fourth-place among conference schools at the Warner Pacific Invitational.

All four NCU women's golfers competed together for the first time this season as they competed at the 5808 yard, par-72 Stone Creek Golf Course. They carded a two-round total of 796, good for fourth place among the conference schools competing and well ahead of fifth-place Walla Walla (862).

Freshman Kelsie Hellwege led the way for the Beacons, taking 16th place with a two-round 177. Senior Kristen Parr followed in 22nd (186) followed by Mackenzie Galick in 28th (199) as both completed their final events for the Beacons. Junior Keri Schwarz also competed, taking 36th place.

The WPC Invite closes out the season for the NCU women who have a bright future ahead. Five individuals have already signed Letters of Intent to join the 2018-19 Beacon squad with more signees expected.
