SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Freshman Kelsie Hellwege claimed 11th place to lead the Beacon contingent at the Northwest Christian University Invitational, taking place at Springfield Golf Club.
 
Hellwege scored a two-round total of 176 with rounds of 89 and 87. Sophomore Makenzie Galick also posted an improvement between Monday and Tuesday and finished in 20th place.
 
NCU will be back in action on October 9 when they compete in the Coastal Collegiate Classic, hosted by Corban University at Salishan Golf Resort.
