EUGENE, Ore. – The Northwest Christian University men's soccer team was held off the scoreboard for the first time this season, dropping a 4-0 decision to Oregon Tech on Friday afternoon.

NCU (5-3, 1-2 CCC) was held to just two shots on goal and was outshot 15-9 overall. The Beacons held a 7-3 advantage in corner kicks over OIT (6-1-1, 3-0) but couldn't capitalize on any of them.

The Owls put the game away early, scoring a pair of goals within the first four minutes of the game. The home team added two more in the second stanza, including a penalty kick just three minutes into the back half.

Northwest Christian returns to action on Saturday, traveling to Ashland for the first time ever as they take on second-year program Southern Oregon University at 2 p.m. The Raiders won the first meeting between the teams in Eugene last season, 2-0.
