Conner Borigo (pictured) combined for 42 points as the Beacons ended a four-game slide on Tuesday night with a 77-72 road victory over Linfield College.

The Beacons (2-4) shot 46% from the field and out-rebounded the Wildcats 37-30. NCU dominated the lane, putting multiple Linfield players in foul trouble early as the visitors pulled out to a 38-29 lead at halftime.

Heath Alexander said, "I am really pleased with our inside play and the minutes that Conner gave us. We execute and attacked the basket when we needed to. We had better shot selection tonight and we had great effort from our bench."

Thompson finished with a game-high 23 points, shooting 9-for-18 from the field. Borigo came off the bench to score 19 points, adding six rebounds.
Niki Duncan scored 14 points and had three steals and
Katerina Brejchova came off the bench to score nine points with game-highs of 11 rebounds and four steals. In all, the NCU reserves out-scored their Linfield counterparts, 30-19.

"Kat was terrific on the boards tonight against a team that led their conference in rebounding last season," said Alexander.

The Wildcats (3-3) were led by Dani Krier, scoring 20 points as she shot 4-for-5 from three-point range. Molly Danielson added 14 points and Paige Graham scored 12 in the loss.

Northwest Christian will be back in action on Saturday, playing host to Simpson University at 3:00 p.m. Due to a conflict in the Morse Event Center, the game will be played across town at the Rexius Event Center on the campus of New Hope Christian College.Â
