EUGENE, Ore. – The Northwest Christian University men's soccer team dropped their fourth straight game on Saturday, losing to Northwest University 2-0 in their season finale.

With the victory, Northwest advances to the CCC tournament next weekend as the No. 7 seed. The Eagles out-shot the Beacons 12-11 but held a 9-3 advantage in shots-on-goal.

NU got both of their goals in a seven-minute span midway through the first half. Brandon Corwin took a pass from Kyle Zimmerman and scored in the 28th minute and scored again in the 35th minute off a long pass from Cooper Gray.

Daniel Christenson made three saves in goal for the Eagles to record the shutout victory.
Yayo Olvera recorded seven saves for the Beacons.

The most successful season in Northwest Christian history comes to a close. The Beacons set multiple records as a team including overall wins, conference wins, goals scored and shutouts. At 8-8-2, NCU also finishes at .500 for the first time in their 11-year history. Â

Northwest advances to play No. 15 Corban University in the first round of the conference tournament on Friday, November 4 at 5 p.m. The Warriors come into the tournament as the No. 2 seed.
