EUGENE, Ore. –
Jeni Hoffert came off the bench to score 15 points, leading the Beacons to a 74-49 road victory over New Hope Christian College on Thursday night. The victory ends a brief two-game losing streak by the Beacons.

NCU (14-8) jumped out to an early 20-9 lead after the opening quarter and never looked back. The Beacons shot 43% from the field and hit eight three-pointers while holding the Deacons (8-9) to just 2-for-14 distance shooting.

Hoffert finished the night shooing 5-for-12 with a pair of three-pointers. Also in double figures was
Andrea Gloss, scoring 14 points along with three assists and two blocks.
Jenna Christenson and
Niki Duncan added nine points apiece in limited minutes as all 14 suited players saw floor time for the visitors.

New Hope was in scoring by Ellie Gould, Kenzie Weston, and Viki Naulu scoring nine points apiece. Adding eight points was senior Taya Harbick in her final home game. Harbick began her collegiate career at NCU but left after her freshman season to play for her dad, Darin Harbick who took over as the head coach at NHCC.

The Beacons will be back on the hardwood on Saturday night, traveling to face Walla Walla University at 6:00 pm.
