SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – The Northwest Christian University women's golf team took third-place at the Northwest Christian University Invitational which wrapped on Tuesday at Springfield Country Club. 
The Beacons finished with a team score of 1059, holding off fourth-place Simpson University by 13 strokes. Concordia University won the tournament by 73 strokes (949), cementing the Cascade Collegiate Conference regular season championship. The College of Idaho (1022) took second. 
Haley Partridge led the Beacons individually, finishing with a 87-85-88=260 as she claimed 12th place. 
Sami Pitts shot a team-low 87 in Tuesday's third-round and was one shot behind Partridge in 13th (88-86-87=261). 
Ashley Steiner claimed 18th (94-85-88=267) and Samantha Pyburn (pictured) took 20th (91-90-90=271). 
Tierra Davis rounded out the Beacon effort in 27th (96-96-97=289). 
Baylee Borchers from The College of Idaho won medalist honors, claiming a two-stroke victory over Concordia's Madison Alamillo, despite a round-three 74 for the latter. Rounding out the top-five were CU's Jennifer Gibbons and Sunny Powers, and Christina Phelps from Simpson University. 
NCU will close out the 2013-2014 season on April 21-22, competing at the CCC Championship at River Bend Golf Course in Wilder, Idaho.
