Partridge Takes Third Place

PORTLAND, Ore. – Senior Haley Partridge once again led the NCU women's golf team, taking third place in the Warner Pacific Invitational. She tied her career low with a third-round 78 to post the fifth-lowest tournament total in school history.

Partridge shot an 80-79-78=237 in the event to take third place, five shots behind co-medalists Sunny Powers and Kelsey Whiles both from Concordia. It was a career-best three-round score for the fourth-year athlete who was one of just three athletes to score multiple sub-80 rounds in the event.

As a team NCU claimed sixth-place, shooting a 1123. Concordia University won the event with a 952 as they held a 56-shot advantage over second-place Willamette University. The College of Idaho took third, followed by Corban and Warner Pacific.

Also golfing for the Beacons were Sami Pitts (90-95-103=288) and Ashley Steiner (99-96-93=288) who tied for 27th place. Tierra Davis followed in 34th (106-101-103=210).

The fall golf season has concluded with action being picked up again on March 17, 2014 at the Corban Invitational.
