PORTLAND, Ore. – Senior Haley Partridge continued her strong final season on Tuesday, closing out the Cavalier Classic in fifth place.
With a three-round total of 247 (84-81-82) Partridge tied for fifth overall and was the second finisher among Cascade Collegiate Conference opponents.
Sunny Powers from Concordia claimed a one-stroke victory in the event, shooting a 230. Three players from the University of Victoria followed; Cari Chow (231), Brynn Tomie (233), and Emily Nicol (236).Â
Also golfing for the Beacons was Ashley Steiner who closed out the tournament with a career-low 92 to claim 20th place. Freshman Tierra Davis finished off her collegiate golf debut in 30th (106-112-102=320).Â
Without the minimum four golfers, the Beacons were unable to post a team score. The University of Victoria won the event going away, besting Concordia by 30 strokes.
NCU will be at full strength for the first time this season when they compete in the Warner Pacific Invitational next Monday and Tuesday.
