SALEM, Ore. – The Northwest Christian University men's soccer team prevented the early goal that had plagued them for most of the season, but the Beacons were still handed a 4-0 loss to Corban University on Saturday afternoon.

Corban's final goal came in the 78th minute when Jake Paulson sent a through ball to K.J. Newbery. Newbery was left in front of a wide open net for the score.
In all, NCU was outshot 13-8, including an 8-4 edge in shots-on-goal.
