Mayah Pappas joined the Bushnell coaching staff in 2025, specializing in long jump and triple jump. 

Pappas had a strong four-year career as a member of the Bushnell track & field team, in which she was a four-time Cascade Collegiate Conference qualifier in the long jump, and earned her way to the 2023 NAIA National Championships, where she placed 23rd. She remains the Bushnell Record Holder in the Long Jump at 5.71 meters. 

Known as a strong woman of character and valued representative of Bushnell's Tri-Athlete Model, Coach Pappas was named Bushnell's Champion of Character Award winner in 2024. She earned numerous academic awards during her career, and was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, the national student-athlete honor society. 

Pappas graduated from Bushnell in 2024 with a bachelors degree in Teacher Education, including a minor in English.
