Liz Turner-Bolton

Liz Turner-Bolton has been with the NCU women's basketball program since it's inception in 2004. After being named Head Coach on an interim basis during the second half of the 2007-2008 season, Bolton assumed full-time duties for 2008-2009.

NCU teams have been making steady improvements under Turner-Bolton and set a CCC/NAIA-era record with twelve wins during the 2011-2012 season.

Turner-Bolton has coached four All-Cascade Collegiate Conference athletes and has had 30 athletes earn Academic All-Conference recognition. Her teams have established themselves as one of the best in the CCC when it comes to work in the classroom. In 2011, the women's basketball team had a 3.46 GPA which ranked second in the conference and seventh in the NAIA.

Under Turner-Bolton's direction, the NCU women's basketball team has also become renowned for their work in the community. In both 2010 and 2011 the team was selected as a Champions of Character team by the CCC.

Turner-Bolton had been an assistant coach for Beacon’s women's basketball during the program's first four years, helping guide NCC to back-to-back appearances and fourth-place finishes in the USCAA National Championship Tournament. She also guided the Beacons to a sixth place finish during their inaugural season in the CCC.

Turner-Bolton has coached at a variety of levels over the past 20 years, including college, community college, high school, and professional programs. She served as assistant coach for Lane Community College on two separate occasions and also spent two seasons coaching and playing professional basketball in Australia, leading the Wagga Wolves women's team to a Grand Championship. She coached in the men's state league in Australia for one season.

Turner-Bolton played collegiately at Lane Community College, and the University of Oregon. She also played at Cottage Grove High School, where she was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame in 2012. 

Turner-Bolton earned her bachelors degree in Psychology from NCU, and she works part-time as the career and college coordinator at Junction City High School. She is married to Chris Bolton. They have three children, Zemedkun, Hannah and Seth.

Outside of basketball her Interests include traveling, hiking, home renovation projects and watching her kids participate in their respective sports.
