Bushnell Earns Another NAIA Five-Star Gold Honor

List of the NAIA Five-Star Champions of Character Institutions

Kansas City, Mo. – Bushnell University was recently selected as an NAIA Five-Star Champions of Character Institution for the 2020-2021 season. Bushnell was among 157 schools from the NAIA to receive the designation. A total of four CCC schools were among those selected.

Institutions are measured on a demonstrated commitment to the Champions of Character initiative and earn points in character training, conduct in competition, academic focus, character recognition and character promotion. Institutions earn points based on exceptional student-athlete grade point averages and by having minimal to no ejections during competition throughout the course of the academic year. The NAIA worked to collaborate with member institutions to better reflect efforts that were impacted by transition and adjustments from COVID-19.

Awarded in Bronze, Silver, and Gold tiers, Bushnell has been selected in each of the previous seven years of the current structure and has risen to Gold for the third straight year. Bushnell was one of three Gold schools from the CCC, along with Corban and Eastern Oregon and was the only conference member to acheive a perfect score. Bushnell was one of 16 schools across the association to score 100 points.
